Wasatch Tango Events

Wasatch Tango Club sponsors and organizes several regular practicas and milongas, as well as various special events.  Additionally, there are several local tango instructors who have regular classes and practicas.  See the general info below and always check our Calendar for the latest updates on tango events in the Salt Lake City area.

Sue's Milonga

Midvale’s Fridays Weekly Practica
Fridays weekly

A real opportunity for Utah and Salt Lake county participants to practice, polish what you have learned with your teachers, mingle and interact with other dancers. You can bring your own music. You can also eat at the Mexican restaurant next door before, during or after the practica, at a very competitive quality/price and benefit from a 10% discount if you say that you are tango dancers next door.

UTango Festival

The fifth annual UTango festival sponsored by Wasatch Tango Club was held in SLC on June 9-12, 2011.  Take a look at some past festival's pictures to see what it's about for yourself and get ready for 2012.

Mountain Tango
Annually around the first Saturday in August

It became a good Wasatch Tango tradition to hold a tango event at Wasatch Mountain Club Lodge at Brighton ski resort in beautiful Wasatch mountains!

Mountain Tango is typically a half a day event with an afternoon alternative milonga and an evening/all night milonga, with time to hike in the mountains and enjoy the nature and nice dinner in between.  Here you can find more information and planning details.
