Wasatch Tango WorkshopsApproximately every other month Wasatch Tango organizes workshops with visiting teachers. Workshop format typically is one 1.5 hour class on Friday, two 1.5 hours classes each on Saturday and Sunday, and a Saturday night milonga. Wasatch Tango has been privileged to host such world-renowned teachers as Tomas Howlin, Brigitta Winkler, Luciana Valle, Cecilia Gonzalez, and many others. See highlights of past workshops. What level dancer am I?Wasatch Tango workshops typically include classes designed for different level of Argentine Tango dancers. Attending classes designed for more advanced dancers than you are results in wasting your own time and money and negatively affecting the learning of more advanced dancers in the class. Before signing up for workshop classes, please review this excellent guide on what level Argentine Tango dancer you are and sign up for classes up to your ability level only. These are upcoming Wasatch Tango workshops. Daniela Pucci & Luis BianchiApril 6-8, 2012Daniela and Luis met during her first trip to Buenos Aires. What was
supposed to be Luis's last tanda for the night turned into two hours of
dancing together. The magical connection they experienced that night led
them to share their tango paths. Daniela left her career as an MIT
engineering professor to join Luis as his tango partner. Luis left
Buenos Aires to join her in New York City, where they currently reside. See workshop flyer for details. George and Jairelbhi FurlongJanuary 27-29, 2012Born to an Argentinean family, Tango was a presence in George’s life
since his early childhood. Thanks to a highly musical family, he started
his musical training at age 10 and continued through high school and
college. A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Jairelbhi began her dance
training at age 9, joining Las Voces Blancas, one of the top dance
schools for children in the country. Because of her graceful movements
and perseverance, she became part of the school’s dance troupe, making
television performances and traveling frequently. See the workshop flier for details. |
